GHaleGary HalePolygraph Curriculum Vitae – Gary J. Hale de los Santos

Mr. Hale is a retired DEA Intelligence Official who served 32-years with the Drug Enforcement Administration. He continues to hold a Top Secret-Plus security clearance with the Federal government. Hale is a graduate of the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Law Enforcement Polygraph School, and is certified to conduct post-conviction sex-offender examinations by the Joint Polygraph Committee on Offender Testing in Texas, and nationally by the American Polygraph Association.

As a Containment-Team Member, he has conducted innumerable sex-offender examinations under contract for the Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Department, under Court Order for the Harris County Standing Committee for the Board of Judges and in consultation with Psychological Treatment Providers. Upbringing in the United States and Mexico, as well as residency in Colombia and Bolivia, enable Hale to provide exclusive Spanish-speaking polygraph services with native fluency throughout Latin America.

With a Computer Science background, Hale has served Latin America as an expert for The Stoelting Company, the pioneers in the development of computerized polygraphs. He is certified by the American Polygraph Association (APA) as a Primary Instructor and he is a staff professor at the Latin-American Polygraph Institute, Bogotá, Colombia. Hale has also served as an instructor at the Texas Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement Polygraph School, Austin, Texas and is a staff professor at the Academia Nacional de Investigacion e Análisis Poligraficos, based in Mexico City, Mexico.

Hale has performed Quality Control Reviews of work performed by other polygraph examiners. In 1999, as Chairman of the APA Ethics Committee, Hale received an Award of Merit for vindicating examiners accused of alleged improprieties. He has also received Service Awards while serving as a member of that Committee from 1998 to 2005. Operating within the scope of the attorney-client privilege, Hale endeavors to verify truth or detect deception regarding allegations of arson, theft, embezzlement, infidelity, sex crimes, assault, police misconduct and other issues.

Through the polygraph process Hale has revealed dishonesty in job applicants, employees, criminal suspects and law enforcement personnel. More importantly, he has exonerated defendants, reconciled troubled marriages, expedited divorces and recovered stolen properties.
